How do I initiate a project with Purdue Marketing Communications?
Contact our production coordinator at 49-62185 to discuss the project.
How much will my PMC project cost?
Our creative services are provided free-of-charge. However, clients are responsible for printing costs, some photography expenses, and shipping/courier fees. These costs can vary depending on the complexity and scope of the project. We will be unable to give you an estimate of your project’s cost until we have a better idea of what the project will entail.
How long will it take to complete my project?
Projects are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. University mission-central projects such as student recruitment, fund raising, and state relations take precedence. The length of time to complete your project will depend on the complexity and scope of the project, as well as current workload in the office. Also, creative production times can vary greatly, from a few weeks to several months. At the launch meeting, the PMC creative team will discuss your project’s timeline with you to help determine a production schedule and delivery date.
Are there digital photos of Purdue that I can use for my own publications or Web site?
Yes! Many PMC photos are available to download for general University use from our Photo Gallery.
My department is creating a Web site, and we’d like it to be consistent with other University sites. Where can I find templates or graphics to help with this? How do I prepare content for the site?
You can download Web templates from the Purdue Web site. These templates adhere to Purdue University’s brand identity. We also have tips for writing Web content, which you may find helpful. Our Photo Gallery contains digital photos of Purdue that can be downloaded to enhance your project.
Do you have PowerPoint templates enhanced with Purdue graphics available to download to create my own presentation?
Yes! You can download a PowerPoint template complete with Purdue graphics and photos.
If PMC creates a Web site for my department, who will maintain it?
PMC typically does not maintain content for the Web sites it produces. Your creative team will consult with you to determine the best solution for your project. This may involve creating a new full- or part-time position, training an existing staff member, or contracting with a vendor to provide maintenance.
What are the guidelines for use of official Purdue logos and graphics? Can these be downloaded?
We have several versions of the Purdue signature and secondary marks available for download in our Resources section. For proper placement and use of Purdue logos and marks in your own projects, please refer to the usage guidelines in the Purdue Identity Graphic Standards manual.
Does PMC have an FTP site for transferring large files?
Yes, you can send multiple files of any size in binary format to the PMC FTP site. Access to our FTP site is limited, so please call our office at (765) 494-2034 for instructions on how to access the FTP site.
Where can I get copies of Purdue publications?
Please visit Request a Publication to see if the publication you are looking for is on the list. If it is, then we have that publication available (in limited quantities). All you need to do is complete the electronic request form at the bottom of that page.
